Back to school

  • 24th Oct, 2007 at 8:22 PM

Today I went to college, and that was one strange experience. I went to uni straight from school so managed to avoid those sorts of places. It's a strange place where vocation, not brains is king. It is more important to be able to weld than write an essay. I'm there on a work sponsered HNC and I feel a little out of place. Or it could be that I haven't been in higher education for ten years and I feel a little old. Technically one of these spotty kids studying fashion could be my kid. What amazes me is high long it takes to get one of these qualifications. Two years! It seems like so little return for so much effort. I guess it gets me out of work 2 days a month though. Does anyone know where I put my scientific calculator?
